Condolences To Those Who Lost Loved Ones

by Jonathan on June 7, 2009

This email was sent in from a reader, Anna. Thank you for your kind words.

To all those who lost loved ones – my heart goes out to you. To lose somebody close, so unexpectedly and in such circumstances has to be one of the hardest things in life. I wish you all strength and support at this most difficult time.

I have been following this accident with horror. My husband flies regularly all over the world on business, including South America, and I am always a little tense when he is away. He has also been flying often with Air France for many years.

I realize that many of you will probably not be able to bury your loved ones who perished. I have heard that it is healing to make a memorial in such circumstances and hope you don’t mind my offering this unsolicited advice – to make for example a beautiful spot in your garden or a shrine somewhere in the home. Another thing I know people have done to help give meaning to the seemingly meaningless passing of relatives (especially children) is to start up some kind of fund or foundation in their names. This is would be a positive effect of such a tragedy.

My thoughts are with you.

My heart goes out to the loved ones who are surviving this awful tragedy. I am so sorry for your loss and can’t begin to imagine the sadness you must be feeling.

Please know that even though I don’t know any of you personally, or even live in the same country as you, that I am keeping you in my prayers and thoughts on a daily basis.

    Please take care each other.

Although I haven’t lost anyone on the flight, I express deep sadness when reading about it. Its a truly tragic loss of many great people, I hope that they can be found and laid to rest the way their families so desperately want. My thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family of these tragic souls, I hope they will be able to someday, rest in peace.
    With Deepest Sympathy.
